Hello and welcome to my website.

I started cake decorating during my A Level Domestic Science Course. In those days everything was produced in royal icing. After leaving school I continued studying the art of cake decoration with tutors in the Adult Education System. For the last 25 years I have developed my own skills of painting on icing and creating three dimensional images.

I was brought up learning to sew and took this to O Level before diversifying into tapestry, smocking, lace making, tatting and embroidery. When I stopped going out to work to bring up my family I attended Adult Education to learn about patchwork and quilting. After 2 years of attending these classes I decided to undertake a 3 year City & Guilds Course on patchwork and quilting which involved work withing mixed media.

On completion of the City & Guilds Course I found I enjoyed working with watercolour so I decided to learn more about the various techniques and joined an Adult Education Beginers Course. Three years on and I continue to attend an Advanced Course in Watercolour and have now exhibited and sold work at two exhibitions. I can't praise our Adult Education system highly enough. Costs of attending are reasonable, the tutors are passionate about their topics and you quickly make new friends and learn together.

I do take commissions for cakes (but not wedding cakes) within a 20 mile radius of High Wycombe, please go to my contact page for further details.

Many of my paintings are for sale and are supplied either fully mounted and framed, as prints or as birthday/christmas cards.

Please contact me for more details..
